The Elder Law Clinic opened in 2008 with funding from the Law Foundation of BC. We provide free legal services to older adults age 55+ who would not otherwise be able to access justice due to low income or other barriers which prevent them from finding legal help elsewhere. Legal services are provided by lawyers and range from summary advice to full representation.
If you are an older adult looking for legal services for yourself, please call the BC CEAS Seniors Advocacy and Information Line (SAIL) at 604-437-1940 or toll free at 1-866-437-1940. An intake worker will provide information about legal programs and services throughout BC, including referral to the Elder Law Clinic.
In addition to our client work, lawyers in the Elder Law Clinic are involved in legal research projects and law reform work.
